1966 की 6-सूत्रीय मांग

The 6-Point Demand of 1966

पूर्वी बंगाल की population के प्रति पाकिस्तानी राज्य के अत्यधिक discriminatory व्यवहार और उपेक्षा के खिलाफ आंदोलन और संघर्ष ने 6-सूत्रीय कार्यक्रम की autonomy मांग के माध्यम से महत्व प्राप्त किया। शेख मुजीबुर रहमान ने 5-6 फरवरी 1966 को लाहौर में आयोजित विपक्षी दलों के सम्मेलन में भाग लिया। वहाँ उन्होंने प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस की और पूर्वी पाकिस्तान के लोगों के rights की रक्षा के लिए 6-सूत्रीय मांगें प्रस्तुत कीं।

मुख्य बिंदु:

पाकिस्तान में संघीय प्रणाली के तहत संसदीय government प्रणाली। वयस्क मतदान अधिकारों के साथ सार्वभौमिक suffrage पर आधारित चुनाव।
केवल दो विषय केंद्रीय सरकार के पास रहेंगे — defense और विदेश मंत्रालय।
पूरे देश में दो स्वतंत्र रूप से परिवर्तनीय currencies या विशेष शर्तों के साथ एक ही प्रकार की currency।
सभी प्रकार की कराधान authority क्षेत्रीय सरकारों के पास होगी।
संघीय राज्य अपनी अर्जित विदेशी currency की ownership बनाए रखेंगे।
क्षेत्रीय सुरक्षा के लिए अर्धसैनिक बल बनाने की शक्ति संघीय राज्यों को दी जाएगी।

6 सूत्रों ने पूर्वी पाकिस्तान के लोगों के economic, political, और सैन्य अधिकारों को उजागर किया। अयूब खान सरकार ने इन 6 सूत्रों को 'अलगाववादी कार्यक्रम' कहा। यद्यपि इसमें सीधे independence की बात नहीं थी, इस 6-सूत्रीय कार्यक्रम ने बंगालियों को independence की भावना से गहराई से प्रेरित किया। यह बंगाली राष्ट्र की मुक्ति की घोषणा थी।
