The Prisoner Who Found Light

Rafi sat in prison, resting his head on his pillow, thinking. He thought he was now nobody, but a new notion had come to him. One day, a pastor came and openly spoke with him and preached about hope. Rafi used to oppose this kind of talk, but now he preferred to listen. The pastor gave him a book with a purple cover, containing poetry and prayers. Rafi always kept an orange in his pocket that reminded him of the outside world. He started writing poetry pretty regularly, each phrase telling the story of his transformation. His writing had plenty of hope and praise. Rafi knew that proper prayer could give him strength. He imagined one day living in a beautiful place like a palace, though it was far from prison. But his poetry and prayer gave him the courage to dream openly. Rafi understood that inner peace was more important than external freedom. He rested his head on his pillow and prayed, feeling plenty of light in his heart. Finally, Rafi transformed from nobody into a transformed soul.
