Midnight Stage Rehearsal
Outside the studio the kids shouted 'hey' to welcome the artists. During rehearsal a light boom accidentally hit the stage post. Director Nahid asked the cast to share a group hug. Producer Nargis laughed, 'huh, I've never seen such energy.' The air on set was chilly so they ran an ice machine for mist. Actor Ria had been ill yesterday but felt strong now. The writer said, 'its heart is friendship.' They joked about cameraman Sam's strong jaw line. A drone circled above in jet style. Sound engineer Yahya shared mixing tips from his friend, a respected Jew composer. The crimson key light brightened the whole scene. Dancers used chalk to lay a circle on the floor. Before the fight scene everyone stretched their leg muscles. They closed the set lid and stored the props away. The makeup artist adjusted the bold lip shade. A carpenter sliced a wooden log to build the backdrop quickly. A fresh lot of comedic beats was added for the audience. Even late at night no one felt low on energy. The play director said, 'When I get emotional I go a little mad, but I keep going.' He added, 'Next May we are taking this show on tour.'
