Le 27e Summit du Commonwealth s’est tenu à Apia, la capitale des Samoa, du 21 au 26 octobre 2024. Le theme de la conférence était « Renforcer la resilience et la collaboration pour un avenir sustainable ».

Les leaders des nations membres ont discuté de l’global economy, du climate change et de la security. L'accent a été mis sur l'augmentation du trade et de la communication afin d'assurer un avenir green.

La délégation du Bangladesh, dirigée par le conseiller aux affaires étrangères, a souligné la contribution de la jeune génération et a appelé à une unified action pour faire face à la climate vulnerability.

En sideline de la conférence, 37 événements ont été organisés, dont une session conjointe entre le Bangladesh et les Samoa. Cette session a discuté du rôle de youth empowerment dans la construction de la climate resilience.

Ce summit a servi de pivotal platform pour renforcer la regional cooperation et améliorera les prospects de développement futur.
