Les travaux sur le projet de submarine cable le plus long du monde approchent de leur culmination. Il est mis en œuvre dans le cadre du SEA-ME-WE 6 (SMW6) consortium, s'étendant de Singapour à la France. Le projet a la prospect d'être achevé d'ici 2025.

Bangladesh Submarine Cables PLC (BSCPLC) réalise l’installation du troisième câble sous-marin du pays dans le cadre de ce projet. Cela garantira l’integration avec Singapour et la France depuis Cox’s Bazar. Grâce à cela, la bandwidth capacity Internet du Bangladesh augmentera et les systèmes de télécommunication internationaux deviendront plus robust.

Les principales tâches du projet, telles que le marine survey et les étapes preliminary de l’installation du câble sous-marin, ont déjà été achevées. Cela garantira une meilleure connectivity et plus rapide entre le Bangladesh et le reste du monde.
